Age of the World

I work on a regular basis with UN population data to make histograms. Most people probably know them as population pyramids, but now that a lot of countries have increasing life expectancies and decreasing birth rates, many countries don’t really have a pyramidal age histogram anymore. Mathieu Lehanneur is a French artist who made ceramic jars using population data – essentially 3-D population histograms.
